What to expect for the shoot

I love taking natural, candid shots to capture genuine expressions. Most kids will warm up to me pretty fast and soon my camera will be old news.Younger kids do great with candid shots where as older kids sometimes require a little more effort. Your job is to laugh a lot & have fun with your kids. If you need to prepare by bringing toys or activities to make them laugh, please do so. Just don’t try to force anything! If we need to take a break, let’s do it! Just remember, they'll naturally have fun if you're having fun, so relax.

Feel free to have a few changes of clothes for the kids, just no busy patterns or print, but it’s your call. Adults generally look better in solid colors.

To capture children as they really are, you have to take hundreds of shots, which means natural lighting is key. Some of the best outside shots are sunrise, sunset, or overcast.

If we’re doing inside shots, we’ll want to do them when the sun is over head. We may have to do some furniture rearranging to get just the right light.

If you have some ideas or want to try something out, please do not hesitate. If you want to remember them brushing their teeth, playing with their doll, dancing, peek-a-boo, wrestling with dad or something else sentimental, lets go for it!
